Ayeina Kids is a subscription streaming service of original Islamic animation for Muslim families, built for children who have outgrown toddler focused content. Most entertainment made for Muslim children has traditionally fallen into one of two categories: content designed primarily to teach, or content designed primarily to entertain. Ayeina Kids was created for children who deserve both. The new streaming service is launching with a slate of original animation in which faith and identity are part of the story itself, rather than something added as a lesson at the end. These stories begin with characters facing something that matters instead of starting with a moral directly. What connects these stories is not a single lesson. It is a belief that Muslim children deserve stories that make them feel something before they teach them anything.

FATWA ON MAKING ISLAMIC CARTOONS FOR KIDS

Redefining Islamic Animation: Where Faith Meets Storytelling

Ayeina Kids was co founded with an animation studio bringing more than twenty years of industry experience to the production of its original slate. That experience gives each project a foundation in professional animation craft and production standards, while allowing the stories to remain centered on Muslim characters, identity, and culture.

Available as a web app at ayeinakids.com, the platform combines original series, films, and shorts in an environment designed for children and families, with no advertising. One family membership provides unlimited child profiles, allowing children in the same household to have their own age appropriate viewing experience.

Original IPs:

1) Nawra: The Mountain Princess

A feature film following a restless young princess from the mountain Kingdom of Tugun who braves a treacherous ascent to uncover hidden answers. Struggling to memorize the Quran, she discovers she must climb with every Ayah, moving closer to the crown and cloak of nobility promised to the Hafidh, inspired by the following hadith:

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The one who memorized the Qur’an shall come on the Day of Judgement and (the reward for reciting the Qur’an) says: ‘O Lord! Decorate him.” So he is donned with a crown of nobility. Then it says: “O Lord! Give him more!’ So he is donned with a suit of nobility. Then it says: “O Lord! Be pleased with him.’ So He is pleased with him and says: “Recite and rise up, and be increased in reward with every Ayah.'” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2915]

2) IMAGINE Jannah

An episodic series about five children, each navigating the world without one of their five senses, depending on their beloved pets to help them through everyday life. When everything they have relied upon is suddenly gone, they must learn to trust one another and embark on a quest through whimsical dreams and ‘Jannah points,’ learning to master their own abilities. Along the way, they discover that they are capable of far more than anyone imagined.

The series is inspired by the following hadith and stemmed from our course: Jannah Dreamers Camp:

Narrated Abu Huraira: the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Allah said, “I have prepared for My righteous slaves (such excellent things) as no eye has ever seen, nor an ear has ever heard nor a human heart can ever think of.’ ” [Sahih al-Bukhari 7498]

3) Turning 10

An episodic series following a ten-year-old Muslim girl navigating the everyday adventures of growing up in a world that is constantly pulling her in different directions. With each new friend, new city, and new experience, she discovers another part of who she is becoming – while facing challenges with learning Arabic in a foreign land and facing bullies that make her question her choice of hijab.

4) Racing Nomads

An episodic series about a gifted boy’s impossible dream of competing in a real race with a handmade racing car built from junk. With his adopted brother’s faith, his father’s sacrifice, and the support of an entire town behind him, he sets out to discover whether that impossible dream can become real.

Inspired by the words in adhaan, as they discover that the most important race isn’t for the trophy, but for the soul. :

 حَىَّ عَلَى الصَّلاَةِ

Come/Race towards Prayer

حَىَّ عَلَى الْفَلاَحِ

Come/Race towards Success

5) We Are Seeds

Educational series about planting that revolves around a story of a young farmer (agriculture engineer) from Gaza who teaches a different neighbourhood child in each episode how to grow food from almost nothing. Across fifteen crops and fifteen lessons, the children discover how seeds survive, how food grows, and how resilience and faith can endure even under the most difficult circumstances. It also teaches how true self-sufficiency cannot be achieved in isolation; it only comes to life when the community gathers together to help each other learn and master the skills required to survive.

Inspired by the following hadith:

Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “If the Final Hour comes while you have a shoot of a plant in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you should plant it.” [Al-Adab Al-Mufrad: Book 27, Hadith 4]

6) Stronger Than

Educational series about natural disasters where sibling duos across the globe discover in each episode that small, secret acts of charity hold more power than the natural forces tearing their world apart. The series explores faith and science as different ways of asking profound questions about the universe and humanity’s vital role within it.

Inspired by the following hadith:

Anas bin Malik narrated that: The Prophet said: “When Allah created the earth, it started shaking. So He created the mountains, and said to them: ‘Upon it’ so it began to settle. The angels were amazed at the strength of the mountains, so they said: ‘O Lord! Is there among your creatures one who is more severe than the mountains?’ He said: ‘Yes. Iron.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Then is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than that iron?’ He said: ‘Yes. Fire.’ So they said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than fire?’ He said: ‘Yes. Water.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures that is more severe than water?’ He said: ‘Yes. Wind.’ They said: ‘O Lord! Is there anything among your creatures more severe than wind?’ He said: ‘Yes. The son of Adam. He gives charity with his right hands, while hiding it from his left.’” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3369]

More titles are currently in production, including “7 Shaded Superheroes”, “Ramadan Kicks”, “Farasha: School of the gifted”, and “Blood besties” with further details to be announced.

7) 7 Shaded Superheroes

Episodic adventure inspired by the following hadith:

Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: “Seven shall be shaded by Allah under his shade on a day in which there is no shade except His Shade: A just Imam, a young person raised upon worshiping Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the Masjid when he leaves from it until he returns from it, two men who love each other for Allah’s sake, coming together upon that, and parting upon that, a man who remembers Allah in privacy and his eyes swell with tears, a man invited by a woman of status and beauty, but he says: ‘I fear Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He,’ and a man who conceals the charity he gives such that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent.” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2391]

What Muslim kids (and their parents) are saying:

  • Imagine Jannah Series is so dear to my children before even its launch. My older daughter made it for my younger one whose favourite character is Mariam. This was made without any proper pattern but she has worked really hard on it. My younger one has memorized the lines of each and every character. Everyday she asks me to check if the episodes have been launched.
  • May Allah SWT put immense barakah in your time for all the efforts. If the promos can make my children go crazy I am not sure what the series gonna do to them. They have spread the word all over. My little one reenacts all the characters , she even tries to dress up like them while doing so. I shared her message because I wanted you guys to hear from the audience for whom the series has been crafted. In a culture that inspires a child to consider Disney World as an ultimate destination. Imagine Jannah turns their hearts towards something infinitely greater.
  • She is a free spirited child, she feels like the character maryam will be just like her. Moreover, my older one wears Hijab Alhamdulilah but she was not very fond of Abayas. After seeing dana in an Abaya, she has started wearing it quite often. She has one in the same color as hers. She has bought more. Our children need characters they can relate to. I am so happy and proud of you for coming up with this series.
  • They have memorized the lines of all 5 characters and also said it’s unfair that there are 3 girls and only 2 boys.
  • They have watched Isa video multiple times and keep asking to see it again, they want to see more of him.
