We believe that when a child understands the beauty of their ultimate destination, it fuels a lasting love for their Creator. By linking the five senses to Jannah, the unseen world feels tangible. Our virtual summer camp offers a unique blend of foundational art training and spiritual enrichment. Join us for an imaginative journey where art meets deen. In this virtual camp, children will learn ahadith and verses about Jannah that will engage all of their senses one by one and expand their imagination in a way they have never thought of Paradise before.
The camp is divided into 5 sections: Each section starts with an introduction to the sense of our body and discussing its use in the world – once we fully understand how our senses work right now, we will be able to imagine even better how our senses may work in Jannah in shaa Allah. Kids may get to learn shapes and colours through it as well – from something as simple as a circle to something as complicated as a 10-fold rosette (a shape famously used in Islamic geometry).
What Your Child Will Experience:
- A Journey of Senses: Each week focuses on one human sense with 5 kids (Isa, Kamal, Dana, Maryam, and Sumayya) and their pets, helping children understand how we experience the world today and how we can imagine the wonders of Jannah.
- Connection to Jannah and its Creator: Connection to Jannah builds the desire to do deeds that lead to Jannah (we call them Jannah points in our home). This comes with a free pdf of “In Jannah, I want… Journal”.
- Certificate: All of the students who complete all 5 of their quizzes will get a certificate in shaa Allah!
- 30 Creative Art Skills: Over 5 weeks, your child will learn 30 unique art techniques to widen their artistic capabilities. From mastering basic shapes, colours, and art styles to complex ones, students will build technical confidence and exposure to different art techniques.
Children will have something to read, something to write, something to create, and something to watch!
WEEKLY:
1) READ non-fictional biography of the week (summary and book recommendation)
2) WATCH fictional character of the week (animated video with intro to human senses (one by one out of 5))
3) WRITE a letter to your loved one (that you’d like to be in Jannah with and why).
DAILY:
1) Shape of the day
2) Colour of the day
3) Art technique of the day
4) Jannah hadith/aayah(s) of the day
5) WRITE what you’d want in Jannah in the end (daily Jannah journaling)
